This mountain was named after my family. My Grandfather, Harold "Chick" Deming now resides in Clifton Colorado. His father was John Deming. My Grandfather has told me quite a few stories of the Deming family growing up in Frisco in the early 1900's. When I was a small boy, he took me to climb the mountain twice. I made it to the summit once. I now live in southwestern Colorado and hope to return to climb the mountain again. It has great setimental value to me, and my family. My uncle, Steve Deming, skied off the mountain in 1975. My Grandfather and Grant Deming accompanied him. I have seen old super 8 movie of the skiing. I want to thank you for posting this web site as it gives the Deming family great pleasure.
