You're welcome Dan! As to the beer and prices, the latter have generally been going up over a couple of years and they've just adopted the euro so this might change soon, but:
1) beer prices have hardly risen, last autumn a half-litre bottle of the finest quality lager was less than 50 eurocents at the supermarket; a pint in a restaurant/chalet was up to 1 euro.
2) Bed in a guesthouse (without breakfast, bathroom and kitchen shared with just a couple of others): at least 9 euros
Cheers,
Jacek
PS I do remember one English hiker yelling, "half a pound for a beer! half a pound!!!" (outside a mountain chalet in the Slovak High Tatras)
You're welcome as well, Eric, you know the area anyway, and you don't have to drive through Upper Silesia. I hope someone brings the missing images this year:-) Last but not least, there's the wine besides the beer:))
And as to little kids, the one who's in the pic presenting the trains first got (on someone's back actually:)) into the Tatras at 1.5 years old (Rusinowa Polana)
Talking of the years of experience, I think I'd trade the experience for the years :-) If that was possible, the pages would mushroom here like Henryk's mushrooms, I might even be faster than the Pyrenean electronic lightning, Eric, on the bike as well :))

50 cents for a pint!I'm there! Nice page Jacek, I'm a bit of a fan of limestone and karstic landscapes and this looks like a really beautiful place.
Cheers
Dan
