Ice pickets or skis?Maybe both as you were entering fairly unnerving territory. Marvellous photograph, i suppose the thick pea soup fog adds tremendously to the drama. Great job, stay safe

As you say cloud make all this scenery much more dramatic, than in reality is. Even if it is a fairly steep slope. At the end of the day some guys skied down and some walked back, using crampons.
However, most of the day we spent in cloud and this was moment definitely worth of the climb and not seeing anything all day long. :)
