On the Summit You'll Find...

The smaller box with the China Lake sticker is the registry box. The oldest date in the registry was April 4th, 1970, left by members of the UCLA Astronomy department. I was just a few months old. The larger box holds a wool blanket and a classic circular canteen. The water in it was mostly frozen. There was no food but four accessory pouches for eating MRE's. Lastly there was a note explaining that someone in Patrol 3 borrowed a beer and she owed one to its owner. There was no beer when I got there. 03/04/07
