Ice axe?!

Well, I suppose an iceaxe might be necessary during the winter as icy conditions are more prevalent than snowy ones. Hope you enjoyed our modest state highpoint.

Ha, ha ha!

I hiked up Brasstown (Arkaquah Trail) a few weeks ago, and carried my ice axe! There was plenty of ice and snow on the trail, too.

What did I know back in 2005? Nothing!

I didn't bring it out of necessity, but mainly for show. That way, if I can summit all of the state highpoints during winter, I'll have a single axe that's been to all of them with me.
