"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

SE ChimneyThe Organ at last! Cool summit route, but definitely R rated given extreme lack of pro on all but 1 or 2 pitches. We brought large gear and did not regret it (#4 - #6 cams and a #4 Big Bro).

I love crack!Definitely the wrong time to visit Zion but a friend of mine and I had time so we went to see some old friends. I brought my climbing gear "just in case" and some cool guys I met took me out early in the morning. It was my first true crack climb and upon returning to Boise and climbing at the black cliffs started utilizing my newly acquired rock skills and have been hooked on crack ever since!

SE ChimneyI echo Dow's sentiments about the great company, the quality of the route, though I do love Zion and its bum rock, and the knowledge gained on the final rappel. Dunno about the piggy back thing, though. Crossing 43-degree early March flowing water is not for the meek. Thanks, my friend, for helping a brother out.
All-in-all, a fun and educational day out.
