Definitely the wrong time to visit Zion but a friend of mine and I had time so we went to see some old friends. I brought my climbing gear "just in case" and some cool guys I met took me out early in the morning. It was my first true crack climb and upon returning to Boise and climbing at the black cliffs started utilizing my newly acquired rock skills and have been hooked on crack ever since!
I echo Dow's sentiments about the great company, the quality of the route, though I do love Zion and its bum rock, and the knowledge gained on the final rappel. Dunno about the piggy back thing, though. Crossing 43-degree early March flowing water is not for the meek. Thanks, my friend, for helping a brother out.
"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."
