Some of the cool rock formations west of the park. In the summer, we were trolling about asking about climbing these things and the local climbers looked at as with about as much contempt as they did when we asked about Black Rock Canyon. There is a 2 pitch tower like this in Telluride that is very cool....you actually take the gondola up to the top and hike to it from there in the summer. Ouray Ice Park, Ouray, CO, January, 2011

rock

the rock on those towers is rotten, but there are bolted routes all over. I will show you - just come here in the summer.

dude, if we are going to clip bolts, lets just do Wallstreet or St. George....we will that Telluride tower for sure though...and that large one east of Ridgway proper..Chimney Peak if I remember right....and Black Rock Canyon...so much to do, so little time...of to RR today...cheers Liba
