Warm and dry
The Aplina BC 1550 (NNN BC) boots are a pretty sturdy and supportive BC / touring ski boot. After approx 500 miles of use they have held up quite well. They have kept my feet warm and dry through all types of skiing conditions. They have a lace up front, with a plastic cuff and heel counter, and a velcro strap for extra support. This system keeps your foot and ankle area tight for added support, and improves turning / carving. There is Thinsulate in the front toe area. They are comfortable for short hikes, and I have used them with both a light touring skis and a heavier backcountry skis. These boots come in a women's size (Model BC 1550 L)

The only problem I have found is that the front closure has a seam directly above the joint of your toes. When climbing long periods, especially with heavier BC skis, I have experienced sore toes almost to the point of blistering. I started taping my toes to prevent this from occurring. My wife has the women's version, and has not experienced this problem to the extent I have. I recommend you try them on in the store and walk around for a while.
