Never a charm | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] | |||
I bought I pair of these back in February 2011 with my REI dividend. First climb was up Mt. Saint Helens. I got really bad blisters from shin bang and some very minor blisters on my toes. No biggy a buddy that works for RMI who guides Everest expiditions explained that you need to loosen up the top laces. Done...never had a problem since. Second climb was Mt. Adams. I had minor blisters on my heals and none on my big toes, probably because they were fairly calloused from my Helens trip. Third climb was Rainier and needless to say they worked like a charm my feet were comfortable, warm (a little too warm). But this was to be the last time they ever worked. Two more Rainier trips later and one to Mt. Shasta this picture here is the final straw. This was my right foot and my left foot was no better. Thankfully REI has an excellent return policy and I bought the La Sportiva Nepal Evo and haven't had ANY problems since. And my feet are still warm. The Inverno are not bad boots but they aren't the greatest either. They're really clunky on rock but drive like a Rolls Royce on snow and ice...but still clunky. | Image Data
