This WindStopper fleece version is more compact and even a bit warmer than our Moonlite Pile Gorilla Balaclava. It wraps around the neck and chin and closes with Velcro. The face mask also attaches with Velcro. All this Velcro permits instant switching between complete coverage and total ventilation. For in-between conditions, the mask can be removed, the main Velcro can be left closed, and the balaclava's contoured chin can be rolled back under your chin. Handling exhalation is another of its fortes. The big gorilla nose provides unrestricted flow when breathing becomes strenuous, and the face mask incorporates an impermeable layer so it never freezes up. In addition, the mask's upper edge is contoured so that goggles seal it to the face and greatly reduce the amount of fog-causing breath that can get to the lens.
