We went up there in May and still had a couple of snowfields to cross. The lakes above 2000m were still frozen (some 5 or six inches thick). So I suppose the answer is: yes!

I haven't been in Corsica in winter. My sister has and tells me the the Col de Vergio pass is closed in Febuary due to snow sebveral meters thick.

Please add SUMMIT LOG or TRIP REPORTS, and ROUTES to their section. Delete "Miscellaneous Info" if it's going to be empty, you'll always have the chance of adding sections.

Don't give out, gracias

Nice page about one of the tallest Corsican mountains. The author finds that springtime heat can be a challenge on this mountain. Looks quite spectacular.

Thanks for the vote, Jean-Louis! It sounds as if you have been to Corsica already! I'm still looking for pictures, especially of Monte Cinto. I Haven't been up there myself so that i could only do the panorama pictures from afar. So if you have any, feel free to post them.

I like links but I love SummitPost as a 'one stop' site. I like to read the routes' description right in the page, without having to link it.
