Re: Fantastic!

Hey Randy! Nice to hear from you. What have you been up to? Dusy was incredible, as always. I took a bunch of other photos; will post them over the next few days. You should go there. It is hard to go wrong with the camera in that place.

Woah!

Unbelievable saturation! Is that straight from the camera, or post processing?

Re: Woah!

Thanks. Saturation is from the camera with a few filters (3-stop graduated neutral density + circular polarizer). I did tweak sharpness and contrast in Photoshop later since I purposefully configure my camera to make 'softer' photos for noise-reduction reasons.

Re: Numero Uno

Thanks Dave! I like what turned out that day. We need to catch up soon. It has been a while. I was just reading your summit log on the summit of Winchell last Friday.

Re: Numero Uno

Yep, we sure do! :-) BTW, if you can, try to keep the weekend of Oct. 20th open. I'll discuss more later.

Re: Heaven on Earth

Thanks Scott. How is Big Pine treating ya? I hope that the recent fire did not affect you.

Re: Heaven on Earth

Misha,
A well desrved photo of the week. All is well in Big Pine. Fire only got to within about a mile of the house and burned some of the less remarkable features around there. Even though I run the trails covered by the fire at least it didn't get the best stuff up higher. Congrats again. Scott

It figures!

I saw that photo on the front page and immediately said to myself, "Must be another great Misha shot!". Scrolled down and sure enough, it was. Do you ever take a bad shot?

Re: It figures!

LOL, thanks. Do we know each other? Your SP profile is rather cryptic. I take plenty of bad shots. One of the things that separates good and not so good photographers is the amount of photos they take. Good ones take a HUGE amount so eventually some photos turn out :)

Re: ??

Yes indeed I used both filters for that shot. Circular polarizer and adjustable GND.
