Panorama of the Swiss Alps from the slopes above Cabane des Aiguilles Rouges

I'm close to the saddle SW of Mont de l'Etoile, about 2 km NNW of Cabane des Aiguilles Rouges. That's where I started earlier today and where I'm heading now. First I made my way up to Pointe de Vouasson, then, on the way back, I took a detour to have a good look at Mont de l'Etoile, my goal for tomorrow. All in all it's been an easy day, but that's fine by me. It doesn't have to be hard to be enjoyable, and the scenery has been outstanding. If you know where to look, you can easily see the refuge. If you don't, it's almost impossible, for it's not much different from a big black dot, just like many of the big rocks. If you can't find it, click here for an annotated version of the same panorama. 10 March 2014.
