Have hiked to Wind Cave (also known as "Lots of Bees" Cave) about 5 times over the years, but today, went all the way to the north summit. No one but me up there. Fun scrambling, and pleasant weather for this time of year. All the Palo Verde were blooming, so the whole desert looked like a big yellow landscape. Just gorgeous. Trip Report

Very cool once above the Wind Cave area. Up on the ridgeline, it didn't look like there was much sign of use. It's strange seeing so much city around, but the peak had a wilderness feel to it up higher.

Nice hike, did solo. Great view on summit, you can see Saguaro Lake, Weavers Needle, Flatiron, Four Peaks, nearly the whole valley. Bring plenty of water and let someone know you are going up there. I dont think too many people summit by the looks of the register.

I did this hike solo. This mountain is well worth the $5 fee to enter the park. I have to say that if the destination is wind cave, it is certanly not worth it. Wind Cave was kinda lame, but the rest of the hike was simply increadible. The Goldfield mountains are really beautiful. I did not know that there was such beauty near Pheonix outside of the Superstition Mountains. The off trail part of the mountain was really fun as well.
