Peak 11500' is a short hike...

Peak 11500' is a short hike from Vogelsang High Sierra Camp, which itself is 8 miles from the nearest trailhead. The shortest route (purple) gains about 1400 feet over 2.2 miles. We camped at the little red symbol and hiked up the peak on the longer green route on 13 Sept. 2003. Evelyn Lake is quite beautiful.
