(Photo by Aidan Haley). This picture shows the ramp/slab/snowfinger combination we used to gain the buttress. Note that a fairly large area is faintly highlighted in orange to indicate rock and icefall danger. We dodged an explosion at the base of "The Snowfinger", and dashed up the snow left of the Mudslide very quickly as a result. The 5.8 pitch mentioned in the text is shortly beyond the last bit of snow near the crest.
