Some of my friends are going to climb Island peak in 2 or 3 days later. any special advise for them? any comments?

I climbed it this time last year. Incredibly windy on top. Started to get frostnip on my nose. People say Island Peak is easy but both times I climbed, have been very long days. The ice this time last year was dinnerplate ice, i smashed my way up there in the most undignified manner possible.

We for good or bad, abseiled(rapelled) down some dodgy ropes from a previous season. Might be best early in the year to bring your own and leave some screws behind.
