Wanted to climb it last tuesday, the hut was closed again because of the snowconditions, the staff was'nt present also.

No guide went up for an ascent either.
We've got our information from the Zermatt alpinecenter.
It will take a while longer before it will be in good condition to climb again.

I was on the Matterhorn July 3, 2009. Three teams attempted to climb it, we ran into not enough time and came down from solvay Hutte. The Hornli Hutte had just opened a couple days prior.
The conditions were considered iffy, but worth trying then. Lots of loose rock that hadn't been trampled down yet and some snow/ice on the climb. Summit, we were told was icy and we would of had to of been very carefull.

Unless more snow has fallen on it, I bet it's worth going for it now....
