How far/how high do I need to carry my skis? Any report on the ski dreams? Thanks!

I don't know but here's a photo of the southern side of the range taken a few days ago. Maybe it will help a little.

Looks good from a couple weeks back, http://splitboard.com/talk/topic/horse-creek-sierra-eastside-3-18-16/. Not sure how burnt out the lower elevation stuff is though.

I skied it on March 25. Had to boot pack about 2/3's to 3/4's the way up the initial switchbacks before a continuous skin was possible. Not bad and easily doable. All the snow in the canyon/sun softened up nicely but it has been so warm lately that my concern would be it starting to get mushy and sticky (bring skin wax!!!!!!). Like the dude in that trip report says, the apron coming off the glacier/moraine is breakable crust. That was the shittiest part to ski unfortunately.

Anyone know if it's easier and safer to do the Southeast or Southwest slope for this upcoming weekend?
