Banff / Jasper Backpacks

by daw37 » Sat Oct 16, 2010 10:10 pm

Hi,

I'm planning a trip to Banff and Jasper next Aug/Sep and want to d ome backpacking. Looking for anything in the range of 40km to 100km. Already thinking of the Skyline Trail, Egypt Lake, Skoki Lake and the Rockwall.

Can anyone recommend anything else I should look at?

Thanks,

David

Lake O'hara area and Mount Robson area are both worth a visit.

Bill is right about Lake O'hara. I've only been there once, but I would love to go back. When we went into the Egypt Lakes area, Healy Meadows was in full bloom.......amazing! That was in July though. I have yet to visit a backcountry location in the Canadian Rockies and leave disappointed. I hope you have a great trip. It's my favourite place on earth. Cheers.
