First time I summitted I was wearing these Merrell hiking boots:

Note: This was only in the month of November, I dont know about the other months. The Mexican in the photo climb the ruta sur (less ice, more rocks), Ive only climbed ruta normal, i.e. from refugio piedra grande.

And we were all fine, didnt have to spend 500 usd on Nepal evo , and summitted in 4,5 hours from the refugio ...
