On top of the Marmolada lies the Capanna Punta Penia (Hut). I used google to find out whether this hut is just an amergency shelter or is it possible to 'book' an overnight place overthere. Results are contradictory; some claim it is an emergency shelter, some claim it is just a normal hut...
I am planning to climb Marmolada a month from now and I think it would be great to stay overnight on the highest point of the Dolomites, I just don't know if it is possible.
