Front Page with the two-column Thematic Week

by toc » Mon Jul 25, 2011 9:59 pm

Would it make sense to have a single subject Featured Pages, Articles & Trip Reports on the FP?

Example: Week long South American fiesta
with 3 TR's & 3 Articles (mid column)
+ 6 Featured Pages - 2 Areas/Ranges, 2 Mountains/Rocks, 2 Routes (righthand column)
all of them driven from South American continent

followed by, say, week long fuming stuff (volcanoes)

followed by, say, week long Canadian Rockies Ice Climbs

followed by Dolomites ( or Caucasus... or Africa week)

and so on and so forth

personally i like the randomness, i like FP with different areas, different countries and different types of mountains.
I think it makes it much more interesting to browse around and read, otherwise it would be too much like being fed with the topic of the week.

Like Peakbagger? They have a randomly displayed featured item.
