These have no front points so not for any sort of vertical stuff. Great for walking on sloped to fairly steep icy hardback where YakTrax are really not enough. I tried them on at home but the instep strap is not long enough to go over my monster Boreal Super Latok size 11.5 so these will work great for any sort of regular or light hiking boot.
