Hi, I'm planning a big traverse (well, big for me, anyway), and I'd like any input on the sticky bit:
To get from the Comox Glacier to Rees Ridge, there is apparently a route down direct from the ridge 1/2 way between the Glacier and Argus.
If you have done this route, I'd really like to hear about it. I've read the Hiking Trails III description, and they talk about 'using a handline for security.'
I'm not a 'real' climber, not since I had kids, but I'm willing to accept some exposure if it's just a difficult scramble. Plus, I'll be solo. Figure I can rope the pack down/do several trips with light load. It would save me a whole day on a 4-6 day trip, not having to go all the way around Mt. Harmston...I'm essentially lazy...
I'd really appreciate any help from anyone who has done this.
EDIT: Of course, if you've been up the same place, rather than down, that would help, too.
