Just heard that there was a lightning death on a peak in the Bighorns this weekend. I hope it wasn't on Darton, which I backed off of. I ran into a guy coming up and told him he shouldn't go any higher, that there was a storm building. He just laughed. I'm going to call the Ranger station in the morn to find out some more info. I hope it wasn't him....I could have tried to be a bit more persuasive.

Don't beat yourself up. People are kooks about lightning. I would be too, if I hadn't had an "electrifying" experience on my very first Rocky Mtn peak.
