Lone Pine Peak Conditions?

Anyone done the N Ridge recently? Snow on the approach, route, descent? Boots vs. approach shoes?

Climbed it on 30 May and there was barely any snow on the approach. We had firm snow conditions on the descent, but I'm not sure now. Some guys from Denver said they were postholing around Whitney/Russell last week in the afternoons.
