Nat'l Geographic article on Yosemite climbing

Postby Alpinist » Fri Apr 22, 2011 6:25 pm

FYI - There's an article in the National Geographic, May 2011 edition entitled, "A new generation of superclimbers is pushing the limits in Yosemite".

I think the essence of climbing can be conveyed with photography/video... it takes hard work, patience, and little bit of luck. Jimmy Chin has the right stuff. The video work is awesome!

Yeah this is a cool video and article, but I thought this happened in 2008? Why did it take natgeo so long to cover it?

"September 6, 2008 with the first free solo of the Regular Northwest Face (VI 5.12a, 23 pitches) on Half Dome..."
