New Zealand Winter Conditions 2008

Hey All,

I'm heading over to NZ in the second half of August for a spot of climbing. Has anyone been over there this winter yet and seen the ice and snow conditions on the south island?

I'm planning on being there probably first two weeks Aug. You know there's a winter climbing meet based at Homer Hut in the Darrans for the 2nd half Aug? Open to all.
