Yosemite Receives $15,000,000.

Hopefully this money makes it all the way to ground zero. Too many times bureaucracy takes too much off the top.

Glenn Dawson and Cal Swoager RIP

Glenn Dawson:aged 103 and longest surviving member of the first ascent:East Face of Mt. Whitney with Bob Underhill, Norman Clyde and Jules Eichhorn passed away 22nd March 2016. Cal Swoager- The Bell, west face of Seneca North Peak and New River Gorge climber fell on 28th February 2016

Assault on El Capitan

Has anyone watched this documentary on the Wings of Steel route? Am I wrong in seeing Steve Grossman as a complete ass? This guy acts as if those two climbers; Jensen and Smith owed him something?

Avalanche between Innsbruck and Bolzano

Monte Nevoso/Schneebige(big snow mtn? See the page on SP) near the Austro-Italian border avalanched near the summit. 10 persons were hit of whom 6 died.

Henry Worsley Dies in Attempt to Cross Antarctica

I hadn't heard of this attempt to cross Antarctica unaided until I saw that Mr. Worsley had died. Was anybody else following this?

I am left with some questions, mainly around his medical condition and bacterial peritonitis. Was this a pre-existing condition? Something he picked up along the way? Something his body developed as a result of another medical issue he was having? How could it have been ...
