Outdoor Vitals Sleeping Bags - Rainier/Cascades

Does anyone have experience using Outdoor Vitals Summit Sleeping bags? Im considering either the 0 or 20 degree for June on Rainier and future Cascade climbing.

Heres a link to the 0 degree bag. https://outdoorvitals.com/product/summit-0/ For $180 dollars and 3lb 3oz including the stuff sack it seems like a good deal.

Thanks!

FS: Soft Shell and Hard Shell Mammut Pants

I've got two pairs of Mammut ski pants for sale. They are brand new with tags. They were taken out of the bag, tried on, deemed too small, and put back in the bag. I would imagine that they've seen less human contact than anything on a shelf at a brick and mortar retailer. Shipping is $5 per pant or $6-7 if you buy both.

Best beginner hiking shoes for muddy trails?

I live in the Philippines and most of the time it rains in this tropical country so my last five or more climbs were pretty muddy and slippery. I have only used outdoor sandals from a local brand which have nonexistent traction but nonetheless are still intact after more than ten mountains. My last hike though was so muddy they came off multiple times and I even thought they were going to snap which thankfully ...

best ice screws

I know its been battered around before but I'm about to buy new screws so thought I'd ask if anyone has fallen on or tested those fancy light aluminum Petzyl ice screws.
They seem perfect to me except I haven't found if they are as strong as the steel ones. TC

Thick, cozy, at least 300 weight fleece jacket with abrasion and wind resistant overlays on upper chest and back and back of arms. Lightly used, very good overall condition with 1 major and a minor detracting issue: Needs a new zipper as a tooth has broken off and has a surface melt spot the size of a bay leaf. Made in the USA!

Cobalt blue Polartec fleece.

Pit Zippers.

Black overlays

Inside pocket, hands and ...

La Sportiva Megas size 45

La Sportiva Megas in good condition. I bought these new about 12 years ago, and have worn them 15-20 times. They have never been re-soled, and will not need it for a long time. No holes, major wear marks, or funky smell. These are great for long days and protecting your ankles. These are board-lasted, meaning they are a nice stiff, supportive shoe. $45 shipped anywhere in the lower 48.

LS Baruntse on Rainier - Mid June or Late July - Too hot?

Hey everyone,

I'm interested in the La Sportiva Baruntse as an all around boot that I will be able to use both on Rainier throughout the summer season (in 2017 I will either climb in mid June or the end of July), as well as potentially on Denali and then other future peaks. My concern after reading more reviews is that it will be too hot for Rainier's summer season. Most of the reviews are ...
