Currently, when you are responding by quoting someone, you can only embed up to three quotes. Should this be changed?
A summation of the "For" position: Raising the number of embedded quotes allows a presentation of a conversation in its full context. The conversation's participants can easily keep track of who said what, all the way back to the beginning. Long quote chains are just a minor inconvenience for other users.
A summation of the "Against" position: Very long quote chains can take up a lot of space in a thread and annoy members who are not interested in those conversations but have to do a lot of scrolling in order to bypass them. Since a response usually pertains to the last response in the conversation, it should be enough just to quote that last response or to quote just the parts one wants to respond to. The few involved in the quote chains should be considerate of the other users.
The poll will run for seven days. Each user is allowed one vote but has the option to change his or her vote while the poll is open.
