This image on my profile is upside down.

Consequently, on my trip report the image is also flipped.

When the image is clicked it shows up correctly. Any ideas how this can be fixed. I have tried to find this issue in the help pages with no luck.

Thank you so much rgg. Based on your link, I used http://www.irfanview.net/ to fix this issue.

When I opened the trouble image on my hard drive with irfanview and clicked save an option came up of:

Reset EXIF orientation tag

and I clicked this check box and then it worked.

Thank you rgg, based on your article I used http://www.irfanview.net/ to Reset EXIF orientation tag when I re-saved the image through this program. I simply checked the Reset EXIF orientation flag option then it came up on Summit Post correctly. Thank you so much.
