I'm travelling on July 13 to the Caucasus for an eight day trip to climb Mt. Elbrus with Pilgrim Tours.

Anyone who wants to share his experience or has some handy tips? For example, can you use your cell phone?

Yes, you can use a mobile phone on elbrus, you can read my report and maybe find some usefull stuff from my elbrus expedition in 2003 on thie link bellow :

About the cell phone - I think it depends on what kind of phone. I contacted my cell phone company and found out that it will not work when I will be on Elbrus in early July. Some may work, some don't. I'd be sure to check. Maybe our paths will cross. I believe I will be coming off Elbrus around the 8th and in the area for a couple more days.
