recommended climbing guide book for the Alps

by physics » Wed Jul 12, 2006 2:44 am

can someone please recommend me a couple of the better climbing guide books for the Alps? I am interested in a book which describes/lists the classic routes and had a hard time locating anything on Amazon.com. being that I am American, I only know one language so English guide books are what I am limited to. thanks anyone for your help

Your only choices for English guide books are the

Richard Goedeke Book

The alpine 4000m Peaks By the classic routes which is only a overview type book.

ISBN 0-89732-11-1

and the much more detailed Alpine club books which are true guide-books which I think there are 8 each covering a differnt part of the alps
