Noelle wrote:Left on December 31st and just got home from Argentina. I did the False Polish route and summited on Jan 15th with great weather. I cant believe how good I felt at 23,000 feet. A storm blew in as I came down to high camp after summiting and continued for the next day as we walked out. Beautiful mountain!

Congratulations on the great summit. We summitted on 13 Jan (via Ruta Normal), and were walking out to the Horcones trailhead on the afternoon of 15 Jan when we saw all the storm clouds over Aconcagua behind us. Good thing you got up to the summit and back before the storm hit.

Congratulations to Nicki and everyone that made the summit this year :!: :!: :!:
I am so very jealous of everyone that made it down south this year as I was stuck up here counting celling tiles at the hospital (there's always next year though :!: )

Congrats Noelle. Like Day Hiker, I also got out just before that storm came in on January 15. I summited via the polish traverse on January 12.

Yes congratulations to everyone that summited Aconcagua this season. Sue and I organized an expedition for 8 other climbers where 5 made it to the summit (2 via the Polish Direct and 3 by the Traverse), 2 descended from Camp 1 by to AMS, 2 descended from Camp 2 due to AMS and a solo climber failed to summit.
