Any expeditions that have already applied for or have received climbing permits for Ama Dablam for the autumn 2008 season? Or are planning to do so in the near future? We are a group of 5-6, possibly looking to share a permit and logistics.
From all accounts , AD is getting busier and busier. I am tentatively thinking of going back this year but later in the season, towards december and not november to avoid some of the crowds. I have personal experience with www.fieldtouring.com and www.summitclimb.com Both companies, I believe offer deals for people wishing to join the permit.
edited for mis-spelling of fieldtouring

Consider going in the spring. Even with 1meter of new snow we found the route not too bad. And first crack at tent platforms after Camp 1. So much more peaceful in BC with only a few expeditions, but there is the whole Everest season dog and pony show choking the main Khumbu all the way from Lukla.
