Josh -- or anyone who has any insight --

My husband registered as "pindude" & has the email address of sreynold@icehouse.net. He joined SP some time before I did.

When I registered last summer, I used our secondary email address of sreynolds@icehouse.net with the name of "Sharon" so we could each have our own SP account.

"pindude" recently messed around with things, & now I can't seem to log in as I always did, as "Sharon" & with my own password.

I've tried logging "pindude" out & relogging in as "Sharon"; making sure the default was to log out when the browser closed, etc. No matter what I try, "pindude" now always comes up...and anything I (Sharon) posts looks like it is coming from "pindude"...even when I log in as "Sharon", with my own password.

Anyone know how to fix this?

It's me, Sharon, again...not "pindude".

I got your email with my (not pindude's) password. It was the same one I keep logging in with, & it again took me to my (Sharon's) home page. Whe I tried to edit log-in info, everything of pindude's popped up....his email address of sreynold, that he is male, climbs big walls...& all of the rest of his info.

I then changed pindude's email address (sreynold@) to mine (sreynolds@), hoping this would solve things. No go.

I also checked on my home page (Sharon). I still can't edit anything. And, as you can see, I'm still registered as "pindude".

Yesterday, among other strategies, I tried changing the user. While it would go to my home page (using Sharon & my own password), I still appeared as pindude if I voted, tried to post a message, etc. I also still could not edit my own page.

I dearly love pindude, think he is a stud muffin, & have carnal knowledge of him, but I still would like to be my own SP person.

What next?

Sounds like you have / are trying all the right things.

Just in case, is your browser cached cleared out? I have seen strange behavior from that, especially in Netscape. That's probably not it, but it just takes a minute to clear out. After clearing the cache, exit and the restart the browser, especially Netscape, just to be REALLY sure the pages are not in memory.

Also, you might manually delete any SP cookies, also just to be sure. How to do that depends on your browser and system. Good luck, dude.

When Josh changed my username from mac9805b to Martin Cash, I had to delete my summitpost cookie to get it to work right. Nelson's suggestion should work.

Hey, it's me again...Sharon...not pindude...even though I really like the name "Sharondude"!

When I logged back in tonight, I mysteriously was "Sharon" again, even though I had not done a thing.

Lokks like the SP elf has been busy!
