I just wonder about the permit. I was in Mendoza in 2005 and when we got our permit we had to get a slip from the permitoffice and then go to the bank, pay and then return to the permitoffice and show your payment to obtain the permit. Is is still the same??

I was there in January 2009, and the procedure was the same as you described: fill in an application form, pay, and return to the permit office to get the permit.
