Quandary Conditions

Postby James C » Tue Dec 15, 2009 10:45 pm

Planning on climbing Quandary Peak tomorrow, anyone know the conditions are of the East Ridge? Are snowshoes necessary, we are bringing em, but some info would be sick. Thanks

did it just a few weeks ago, icy on the ridge because of trudgers. Snow shoes should be useless, bring em but doubt you will use them

Climbed it yesterday. Bring the snowshoes. We left ours in the car, but we were still able to summit. Life would have been easier with them.

Anyone been up there lately? I plan on going up Quandary this coming weekend. More recent conditions would be helpful.

Thanks!

Bring snowshoes and you won't need them, don't bring them and you will wish you had them. I will be there on Sunday. Doesn't sound like there has been much snow and the forcast looks pretty good.
