I am here now and it´s sunny and warm. Went up to about 16,400 yesterday and only needed a fleece.

Heard several massive serac avalanches on Chacraraju two months ago while at Yanapaqcha basecamp, wondering why people still attempt this suicidal mountain. Now this... two climbers killed on Chacraraju :-(

Thanks! It was a great experience! I still managed to lose a few pounds even though I was fed like crazy LOL We talked to Rebecca at Vagamundo; I guess she's from NY and bought the place a few months ago.

Climbed Yanapaqcha today. Beautiful climb, a few big crevasses. Incredible view from the top. Great, sunny weather during the last days.
