Lost and Found - lost gear on approach to Middle Palisades

by heuschele » Mon Aug 30, 2010 1:58 am

Many of us have been on a climb and have lost gear :(. Sometimes the gear is lost on the summit climb, but often it is lost on the approach or at the trailhead.

Similarly some of us find gear and have no way to contact the original owner.

I did a forum search for Found and did not see an appropriate topic group.

Recently (8/20/2010) on the summit approach to Middle Palisades I lost a helmet and a black mesh bag (I will identify contents upon request). It was lost between Finger Lake and the Middle Palisades glacier. I can be contacted at hoysch@hotmail.com or 858-312-6020.

Ideally this forum topic can be the SummitPost lost and found site (assuming one does not already exist on this forum). If an item is found it can be posted giving the owner a chance to identify and claim the item and similarly lost items can be posted here to maybe reunite the item with the owner.

Hell I might as well mention my items on here... Lost 2 trekking poles near the southfork trailhead... I'd be happy to describe them, thanks :?
