Mount Marcy

Anyone been on Marcy lately, Trail Conditions, snow, any cautions???

Have not been there but there is snow. Probably some microspikes and your good to go.

recent condition reports zoomed to the immediate neighborhood of Marcy.

Microspikes are a good idea this time of year.

I suspect that with the warm weather over these few days the snow will take a significant beating, if not disappear altogether. Winter might make a comeback towards the weekend, though, as temps are expected to drop significantly with some additional snow possible as well.

Well, it's been a couple weeks, but when we were there it was muddy and wet at the bottom and snowey with light wind at the top. Snow got to maybe a foot with deeper drifts. Good traction (no ice) maybe 20 degrees with ten mile an hour wind. Our water was freezing in the bottles. Hope that helps, Good Luck!
