Mt Washington's Wildlife

by beaudittl » Sun May 29, 2011 7:53 pm

Hey all. It's been a while since it happened, but I had an experience up on Mount Washington in early April and I was wondering if anyone else had experienced it as well. One of my partners and I had stopped for a breather on the Jewel Trail and these two birds flew right up to us; they were within 3 feet. They looked like a chickadee that had been swallowed a softball and were acting as if they wanted us to contribute to their size if you know what I mean. Just curious if anyone else saw this, and if so, do you know what kind of birds those are? Hope your summers have started off great! Happy trails!
