Hey All,
Just made a flying trip out over Lamarck Col.
The Lamarck Col route is probably 10% mandatory snow between Upper Lamarck Lake and the JMT.
No ice axe or crampons necessary though.
Looking down the Darwin Lakes:
Darwin's Couloir looks good, though a slide did scour a groove down to old ice. It's avoidable.
I came down the West Ridge to the Darwin Glacier. This route is in fine shape. No bergschrund, good step kicking on my descent around 4pm.
Mendel's couloirs look bony. Not a great angle, but an uncommon one:
The crest of the ridge over Pk 13360 ("Mt. Gould"... is that name sticking?), Mendel and to Darwin is basically dry. One section of mandatory rock-snow chimneying.
