Snow in Loveland ???

by lcarreau » Sun Sep 18, 2011 2:21 am

Just heard that it snowed on the peaks west of Loveland, Colorado .....?

Geez, seems like only yesterday I was frying eggs on the sidewalks of Phoenix, AZ.

Yep, something tells me I'm living in the wrong state. Daaaaa ......DOH ...ooooo

Yes, I can see the whole Front Range covered by snow now. Can't wait to be up there!

Not only today, but the last 2-3 days its been snowing up in RMNP

Trail: The Loft
Date: 9/16/11
By: Visitor
10" to 12" of snow at the base. Visitors turned back and did not climb.

Trail: Boulderfield at Longs
Date: 9/15/11
By: Visitor
3 " of snow by the time you reach Granite Pass. 10" of snow in the Boulderfield. Then higher drifts of snow. Rocks to and around the Boulderfield very slick.

Just when you think you've got the seasons in your area figured out, along comes a winter that is nothing like what you (might) expect ..

If its a big snow year again it will literally feel like a whole year before I can even think about giving it a shot.
