The ad says they are Scarpas; they must have bought Koflach. Good to see them back on the market.

The important thing is that Koflach Degres are back on the market.

Not exactly an error though; seems Scarpa has something to do with them (at least here in the US): http://www.scarpa.com/scarpa/products/MOUNTAIN/MOUNTAIN-PLASTIC.

OK but Degre are not back, I bet that they haven't been out of the market since they were first manufactured. Have they :?:

BTW, Scarpa International (they are Italians): http://it.scarpa.net/prodotti/tech-mountain/

From http://www.koflach.com/en/parsepage.php?tpl=tpl_page&sqlpam1=259:

2002 - The Koflach plant in Köflach / A is closed.

2008 - The brand Koflach is not actively pursued in the market.

15. – 18.07.2010 - Koflach the original plastic double-boot returns!

I knew they are Italian. Apparently their US distributor (SCARPA North America, Inc.) is also the US distributor for Koflach.

BTW click on your link for Scarpa International and then click on North America and then Mountain, Plastic.

Here I've seen them in the stores from 2002 to 2010. They usually have stock year after year. I've clicked on all those links you say and the discussion is closed by me

Haven't seen them in stores here, but then stores here don't carry plastic boots - no mountains around here where they would be needed or even wanted. One thing I did notice is that they are more expensive (at least in the US) than the Scarpa Invernos - one of their big features in the past was the low price; made them the standard rental boot. Part of the price difference is no doubt the difference between Intuition liners and stock liners. Agree about closing the discussion.

My wife got the new Degre's this spring at Marmot Mountain Works in Berkley and loves them. Not sure about the distributor in US, but who cares if they fit well, warm and durable :-)
