Has anyone here tried the powdered pedialyte packets? I've had success using the regular liquid stuff during marathon training, it seems to pack a lot of the stuff needed when knackered and dehydrated.

Secondly, The addition of sodium and potassium *should* lower the freeze temp of the water, shouldn't it? I lack the ability to control colder temps to do my own research.

Have not used Pedialyte itself, but I use the Cliff powder electrolyte mix all the time, and it makes a tremendous difference in both recovery time and how much water I need to carry in the first place. It definitely still freezes at 0 F though

Water has to be pretty darn salty for a significant freezing point depression. Sea water still freezes at about 28-29F, and I'm pretty sure that's a bit stronger than what you want.
