Friday morning I hiked up to Bush and came down Saturday morning to find out all the sites were filled up at Pine Springs. Very busy weekend! I had to end my trip early due to a fall on some of those thorny bushes. I had 7 punctures overall in my left rear end and my hand and was able to pull all the little suckers except one. I had to go to the ER Tuesday evening to get the remaining 1" thorn out of my butt. Overall it was a great trip, but sad that I was not able to summit Guadalupe. I'm planning on going back in spring to hike up the peak. But I agree with you, it is a great park with some amazing vistas. On my way up to Bush mountain through the Tejas trail, you can see down towards devils hall and it was just amazing. Definitely worth the drive from Dallas!
