the fact that you are *allowed* to say something has nothing to do with whether you *should* say something.

for example, i am perfectly within my *legal* right to drop the n-bomb on someone. that doesn't mean i should, it doesn't mean it's a good idea, and it doesn't mean i won't suffer any consequences if i do.

sure, he's allowed to be a douchenozzle. but likewise i'm allowed to tell him to stop being one.
